02/26/2007 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Duke remained the top-ranked team in the latest Associated Press women's college basketball poll, but the Blue Devils are no longer a unanimous choice.
The Blue Devils (29-0) finished the regular season undefeated with a 67-62 win over arch-rival North Carolina on Sunday, but Tennessee won three big SEC games last week and stole one first-place vote.
Duke, which had been a unanimous top choice for two straight weeks, received 49 of the 50 first-place votes and a total of 1,249 points from a national media panel. The Blue Devils claimed the top spot for the seventh straight week.
Tennessee (27-2) finished with 1,200 points to keep the second slot for the second straight week. The Lady Vols have won 10 in a row, and last week beat LSU, Arkansas and Vanderbilt.
Connecticut (26-2) remained third and was followed by North Carolina and Ohio State, as the top five stayed the same.
Maryland, Stanford, George Washington, Arizona State and Georgia closed out the top 10.
The second 10 consisted of LSU, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Purdue, Baylor, Middle Tennessee, Rutgers, Bowling Green and Louisville.
Wisconsin-Green Bay, Michigan State, Marquette, North Carolina State and California were the last five teams ranked.
North Carolina State and California were newcomers this week, replacing James Madison and Nebraska.
